Funny kids: Something to say

“I have something I want to say,” I told my summer school class as I folded my hands in front of me in a serious gesture.

A student in the front row piped up, “Are we going to pray?”

Who’s in my car???

Yesterday I was in my car in a crowded parking lot when two girls came up, stopped about ten feet away from my car, and just stared at me.  After a few uncomfortable seconds they started laughing hysterically and got in the car next to mine–a black Honda Civic, identical to mine.

Welcome!

Greetings, and welcome to my blog! As the tagline shows, this blog has two parts. One is related to teaching, and in this part you will find my experiences as an elementary school Spanish teacher (don’t miss the “Funny kids” posts!) as well as some recommendations of things that have been useful for me and that I would like to pass on to you. The other part is about productivity–a short way of saying goals, habits, motivation, organization, etc. These posts describe my attempts to implement some of the fantastic ideas I read about in the productivity blogs of people who are much more productive than I. Of course, there will also be occasional tangents about other things I want to share with you. I hope you truly enjoy reading my blog and find it informative, helpful, and perhaps even a bit amusing. I also hope you will take a moment to impart your wisdom and funny student moments in the comments.

Enjoy!
